Although Mariah Carey and Hallmark Christmas movies insist that the holidays are about more than just presents, there's no denying that the gifts are an essential part. The giving of gifts, even though Christmas kind of makes it mandatory, is a way to show somebody you care about them, and pay attention to who they are and what they like.
