As a mom to an 8-lb Chihuahua who sleeps all day and demands almost nothing from me, I understand one thing about being a human parent, which is that I don't understand it at all. Truly, I have nothing but respect for everyone out there raising one or more tiny humans. I have enough friends with kids to know that y'all are living in an alternate reality I can barely even begin to wrap my mind around. But not every non-parent feels the same way. And a lot of people think they understand what it's like to be a parent just because they have parents, or because they've seen parents on TV and in the movies. Well, we don't.
Good luck out there, parents! Now excuse me I'm going to get a 2nd IUD.
