There's a common problem among the upper classes of forgetting their lives aren't relatable. With financial anxieties at an all-time high, celebrities and other rich people with big platforms have been receiving backlash for flaunting their privilege (ala the Imagine video) with little consideration for how the majority of the world lives.

A columnist named John Kelly has found himself the target of some Twitter roasting after the Washington Post published his column: "The key to escaping lockdown? Sleep in your guest room and pretend it’s a trip."

The gist of the column, which is behind a paywall of course, is him suggesting people use the extra rooms in their houses to mimic the experience of going on a trip. It's a cute idea in theory. But it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way in a time when much of the world's population is under major financial stress.
