Living with someone is always a challenge. Whether it's a roommate or a relationship, combining property, dividing chores, and coordinating schedules can be somewhat difficult.
Reddit user u/throwawaydishes2022 has been living with her boyfriend for two years and has finally discovered the mystery behind why he won't consume her cooking... he doesn't want to help with the dishes!
He gets take-out and she gets frustrated. Now, this annoyed girlfriend is turning to the wise ones at Reddit r/relationship_advice to ask what to do with her housework-dodging domestic partner.
Me (26f) SO (25m) and I have been together for 5 years and living together for the last 2 years. Stereotypically, we have been dealing with him not noticing messes and not having the same idea of cleanliness as me.
We've struggled to implement a chore chart, chore list, etc (we've tried I do dishes during the week, and he does the over the weekend). This is a work in progress, and each day he gets a bit better.
