Joey Slivinski and Thomas Swartz, two recent graduates of Kearney High School in Kearney, MO, just got their yearbooks. That's when they learned that the yearbook quotes they'd submitted were deemed "offensive" and not printed, leaving just blank space underneath each student's name.

The Riverfront Times reports that the boys, both openly gay, had chosen quotes they found funny and important. Slivinski's read, "Of course I dress well. I didn't spend all that time in the closet for nothing." Swartz's was, "If Harry Potter taught us anything, it’s that no one should have to live in the closet."
