A high school junior from Houston, Texas named Louis has put together an obscenely expensive "promposal" that appears to cost more than what many of us pay in rent. And the internet is not entirely thrilled for them.

Louis made a punny sign reading "if the shoe fits makeup your mind" and presented Caitlin with a bag of makeup from Sephora (fancy!) and a box. Inside the box was a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. You know, like the ones Carrie Bradshaw wore in Sex & the City that most REAL New Yorkers can't afford.

The shoes retail for about $675. That's a lot of cash. Especially for a teen.

Luckily, it seems like Louis' high-budget scheme paid off. We have a pretty good feeling Caitlin said yes.

She tweeted out photos of the promposal with this promising message: "y'all the shoe fit."

The tweet went viral, and Twitter is losing their minds. A few people seem genuinely happy for the couple.

Others are urging Caitlin to put a ring on it.

A few people have opinions on the shoes. Not the Louboutins. But these:

Others are jealous.

But most people are just head-over-heels in love. With the house.

And this person pretty much said it all.

Most of us just have to accept we will never be this rich. And that's life.

To be fair, though, those heels look really uncomfortable.

Just trying to find a downside here. But let's be honest, these teens probably have better lives than most of us ever will.
