Tahj Oliver is a senior at Oswego East High School in Illinois. Last month, he asked his good friend Evelyn Araujo, who has special needs, to be his date to prom.

Tahj, 18, is a football player and student athlete and he said he's "always wanted to do something like that as far as a student athlete going to the special needs prom," he told BET. "Me and Eve text all the time."

In the video of his "promposal," you can tell Araujo was pretty psyched about the invitation.

She said yes! Her mom was moved as well, and tweeted about it.

But if you thought this story had already reached peak heartwarming, just wait.

Tahj and Evelyn went to prom on Sunday. And clearly, they stole the show.

"The best part of the dance was the slow dance because, before the prom, we texted each other songs that we want to slow dance to and her mom and I made it happen," Tahj told BET.

He even serenaded her! This guy is putting all prom dates in history to shame.

Like a true gentleman, Tahj tweeted about what a great time he had.

And Evelyn sweetly tweeted about her "guy."

I could barely get through this story without crying. Correction: I cried.

And I'm not the only one.

And Tahj has a lot of fans.
