As schools across the country are back in session, the issue of mask mandates for students has divided parents. While many support the mandates as a way of keeping kids safe and preventing the spread of the virus, others feel that requiring students to wear masks infringes upon their rights. In Chattanooga, Tennessee, schools are requiring masks for staff and students, but allowing parents to let their kids "opt out" of the mandate due to their "beliefs." One mom of a daughter at a Chattanooga high school brilliantly took a stand against this policy in an email which has gone viral online.

In light of her daughter's school making face masks "optional" for students, the mom demanded that her daughter be allowed to "opt out" of the school's "misogynist" dress code.
