Texting is one of the most popular forms of communication in this modern world. And while there are plenty of benefits to tap, tap, tapping the day away with our friends, family members, and most importantly, our crushes, texting also has some few major flaws. For example, due to the lack of context, facial expressions or vocal tones, even an innocent text message can easily come across as creepy or disturbing. A message that is actually creepy or disturbing seems 100% more terrifying when sent over text. And don't even get me started on the perils of autocorrect.
1.) From its_ya_boi_big_ghoul:
"Are you a friend of username?" "Yeah why?" "He passed away." This message came from the account of that friend, so I thought I was getting pranked. It still feels so unreal, losing a friend you met online. I only met him in person once, but I drove 10 hours out to the service anyways, I'd known him online for 5 years. He was only a few years over 20. I'll miss that man.
