Wherever you go in the world you will find a unique set of traditions that have been normalized in that country or society, but that might seem weird or illogical to the rest of the world. So while it might be easy to judge or mock people whose traditions are different from our own, ultimately, all human rituals and social norms can seem pretty strange when taken out of context.
I mean, just try explaining to someone why we celebrate the resurrection of a dead man by painting eggs and then telling children that an anthropomorphic rabbit hid them?! Happy Easter!

Not sure letting a bunch of disguised drunk people into your kitchen to dance would work anywhere besides a small town.
