The world is very, very big and full of lots and lots (and lots) of people (Wikipedia says so, so it must be true!). So why do we always happen to run in to people we know in completely random places?! (This is especially true for exes, at 9 am, when we're wearing Cheeto-stained sweatpants and zero makeup) "Small world" moments happen to all of us at some point or another, and they really make you question if the world is as big as people claim it is. Or if it is in fact very small. Or if we're all starring in an episode of the Truman Show.

Live in Canada, I used to travel for work. I went to the UK, landed in London and rented a car to drive to the job. Stopped at a highway rest stop on the M1 and got some McDonalds, went outside and ran in to my next door neighbour from Canada.
