When you enlist someone to water your plants, feed your pets, or watch your house while you're out of town, you're putting a huge amount of trust in them to take care of your possessions and keep them safe.
You expect to come home and find things just as you left them. Reddit user u/plantmomaita thought her opulent plant collection would be in good hands with her sister-in-law and teenage niece, so she was absolutely shocked to see nothing but stems when she returned home.
When she confronted her family, she learned they had not only butchered her collection but profited from selling the cuttings as well. In her anger, she banned these family members from home and cut them out of her life. Now she's asking the internet if she went too far.
