Childbirth is a beautiful miracle. It's also a slimy, screaming, bloody, mess. That's why many moms-to-be don't want to fill the room up with witnesses to their labor and delivery.

Turns out, it can go the other way as well. Some pregnant women actually want to fill the room with spectators (aka family members) to watch this miracle of life get pushed out of their bodies. Reddit user u/soontobeaunt found herself in this exact situation. Her sister is trying to force her to be present during the birth of her new little niece or nephew.

She doesn't want to watch, so now she's asking the internet, "AITA (Am I The A**hole) for refusing to be present at my sister's birth?"

I (21F) have a sister (27F, Liv) who will be giving birth in a couple weeks I guess and she's doing a home birth. She has made elaborate plans for her labour and is excited for the process, I'm also excited for her too but honestly it seems a little scary to me.
