Speaking entirely in clichés, the United States is both a land of plenty and a melting pot. There is so much food here, and also so many different kinds of food. It may even seem like there are few foods that are distinctively American, as there are so many different world foods available in even the smallest towns. I've been to the states around that time and ate a Thanksgiving dinner, but it was a catering company serving food to over 1000 people.
