Sarcasm and satire don't always translate well online, due to a lack of tone and facial cues. So we've all committed the embarrassing internet faux pas of misinterpreting a joke as sincerity or fact.
Most of us are lucky enough to quickly figure out our mistake, enjoy a light chuckle and move on with our day.
