Amstel explains in the video that the substitute asked Daniel and his classmates to go around the room and share what they&#39;re thankful for, since it was the week before Thanksgiving.</p><p>When it was Daniel&#39;s turn, he said that he was thankful for getting adopted by his two dads (BRB WEEPING). Then the teacher responded by telling Daniel that this was &quot;nothing to be thankful for&quot; and lecturing the fifth graders on how homosexuality is &quot;wrong.&quot; Daniel, understandably, was embarrassed and didn&#39;t want to say anything about the incident.
