No one wants their parents to end their days alone. But one guy feels like his dad's taking his quest for a bride too far.

The man asked Reddit for advice after his dad quickly committed to a virtual stranger by proposing to a woman who doesn't speak the same language as him after knowing her for 18 days. And, yes, it gets worse.

The son says his parents have been divorced since he was little, and he always held out hope that his dad would move on. Now, he's met a woman "while he was abroad visiting my uncle," the son writes. "They spent 18 days together and he proposed."
