It's nice to support your family members' dreams. But what if their dreams walk, talk and quack like a scam?
A woman recently took to Reddit to ask for advice after she flipped out at her mom for repeatedly attempting to recruit her into a multi-level marketing scheme. The mom won't listen to her, and she started crying when the woman got angry. Now she's not sure what to do.
My mom (42) is in an MLM and has made that pretty much her whole life, second only to her religion.
She's invested in a pyramid scheme company [...] Their main product is this 'super-drink' that's supposed to help whatever ails you. Muscle pain? Gone. Heartburn? Extinguished. Cancer? Shrunk. (There's actual testimonies on the cancer part. No alluding to any other chemo or anything. Didn't say it sped it up, just that it was the sole healer. Just wtf.)
