We all know by now that a one-star review can tank a small business's reputation. Still, sometimes it's good to let potential customers know what they're in for.
But one woman is wondering whether she did the right thing by writing a one-star review for her friend's catering company after she hired the friend for a work function. Yikes.
She posted to Reddit about the incident, to find out whether she's the a-hole in the situation.
My company had an event and I was in charge of organising it. For catering, I immediately thought of my friend who recently opened a new cafe. We have been friends since high school, so it’s been decades long friendship and we do catch up with each other regularly. She was ecstatic when I asked her if she was willing to take on the job.
So when the event day comes around, she and her team ends up making so many blunders — some of the food were too cold, not fully cooked, etc.
