Is it okay to fight pettiness with pettiness? And at what point does pettiness become an economic necessity?
Months after the broke up and she moved across the country, a woman is having a hard time getting her belongings back from her ex-fiancé, and she's contemplating heading to the pawn shop.
She asked "Am I The A**hole?":
So little back story my ex fiance and I broke up in October of 2020. I had previously lived with him and left some of my stuff in his state thinking I'd be back. Well, we came up with an agreement I keep the engagment ring and he keeps one of my items that he really enjoyed using. I recently was able to finally go and send his stuff back and told him I would do so if he would pay for my stuff to be sent back and I would pay for his. I asked him to pay for a box and shipping fees the same as I would have to pay. I didn't get a response for a while then he messages me saying he will send my stuff when I send his and give him tracking information. I then went out of town and his stuff was in the back of my mind.
