The internet is a wild, lawless place, and that's just the stuff we can see. When the public posts are this weird, you can only imagine the absolute depravity that goes on in private inboxes. A thread on Reddit, a site that is no stranger to strangeness, asked, "What’s the weirdest DM (Direct Message) you’ve received?" Here are the funniest and least traumatizing answers.
Few years back, I got a Twitter DM from a "Nigerian Prince". You know, that kind of age old scam. I ignored it, went to my undergrad classes for the day.
I check Twitter during a bathroom break. The prince is back at it. This time he's sent along some very grainy, low res photos of himself, an exiled Nigerian prince from some area that I couldn't remotely pronounce. I block him at that point and move on.
