If socializing feels like physical and emotional torture, you just might be an introvert, shy, and/or socially anxious. And if you fall in any of those categories, you've probably gone to some pretty extreme lengths to avoid social interactions. As a person with social anxiety, I've faked many a phone call to get out of a party, hidden behind a subway pole on numerous occasions to avoid small talk, and had the "flu" to get out of attending a wedding. In the world's most relatable Reddit thread, introverts are sharing the extreme lengths they've gone to to avoid social interactions. So I know I'm not alone—although technically I often am alone, thank god.
