Late Tuesday night, Donald Trump Jr. tried to make a dumb joke on Twitter using the #metoo hashtag in a way that it was most definitely not meant to be used. Ah, leave it to Don Jr. to take a hashtag that encapsulates women's abuse at the hands of men like his father and make it about himself.
Well, not just himself, but - you guessed it - his family's sworn enemy, former president Barack Obama. The Washington Examiner ran an article about Obama which included quotes from a recent interview with Josh Earnest, Obama's former press secretary.
In the interview, Earnest says, "It’s obvious to most people who are watching that he is relieved to no longer be bearing the burden of the presidency. I think there's no doubt that he is more relaxed and more at ease and more unburdened than he's been in a decade, and it shows."
