Moms may be good at a lot of things, like taking care of us when we're sick, knowing exactly how long to cook things, and decimating us with just a look. But when it comes to digital technology, moms don't always have the best track record (I'm mostly talking about the "boomer" moms, I see you millennial moms and your annoyingly good TikTok vids). In fact, it's a miracle that Facebook is 80% older moms considering how difficult it seems to be for this demo to operate a computer or smartphone. But although I may feel superior to my mom in this one arena, the second I need to cook something basic, I'm summoning her on FaceTime for step-by-step instructions (even if I only get to see the lower 1/2 of her face). So, you win mom. Just not when it comes to operating a computer.
