Weddings are usually a time for families to come together, but occasionally, they are a powder keg for family drama.

Reddit user u/User2000gains had planned to pay for his daughter's wedding, but when the time came she accepted his money but not his wife. When the bride refused to invite her stepmom to the celebration, this Dad pulled the plug on the finances completely.

Now he's asking the internet, "AITA (Am I The As*hole) for canceling the payments for my daughter's wedding after she told me my wife isn't invited?"

He writes:

My daughter (27F) is getting married in the fall. I (58M, her dad) am supposed to pay for the wedding, that's what we agreed on. We got the save the date invitations a few days after I put the payments through my bank (They need to be approved, so no money has been paid yet).

My wife isn't invited to the wedding. I have been divorced for 15 years and married to my wife now for 8 years. My daughter never really liked my wife, they didn't get along well. My other two kids love her.
