It's always fun when a boss loosens up a bit, usually at a work happy hour, and you get to find out a little more about who they really are. But there's a fine line between a fun, cool boss and a boss who shares TMI (too much information) about themselves. Because, much like our parents, there's really only so much we want to know about our bosses' lives. Nothing makes for an uncomfortable work day quite like knowing too much about your boss' health or emotional issues or (gag) romantic life.
In a popular Reddit thread, someone asked: "What’s the most TMI thing your boss has told you?"
1.) From Bustalacklusta:
A few years ago at a big corporate dinner my boss was bragging about how he has stolen all of his ex wives from other men. I actually had to question him on what he was saying because I couldn't believe that would be something someone would brag about at a high level company function and he was quick to proudly confirm that was exactly what I was hearing.
