<p>Fat-shaming is never ok, and it&#39;s <em>definitely</em> not ok to fat-shame the clients at the gym you work at. Just, nope. Nah. No way Jos&eacute;. Get out of town, clown. Etc.</p><p>A guy who is &quot;really into body building&quot; (hashtag same) recently <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/comments/cgkvur/aita_for_getting_a_single_mother_fired_even/" target="_blank">took to Reddit</a> to share an ethical &quot;dilemma&quot; he experienced at the gym where he has been going 3-4 times a week for the past 16 years. I relate to this because I have gone to the gym 3-4 times in the past 16 years.</p><h2>Body builder guy (we&#39;ll call him BBG) says there is a personal trainer at the gym who has been &quot;really nice&quot; and flirty with him. She also happens to be a single mom.</h2><blockquote> <p>For context, I am really into body building and have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week since I was 13 (now 29).<br /> <br /> There is a personal trainer, Ashley, at my current gym thats also a single mother of two. I scrolled through a few more posts and sure enough this is a regular thing. She discreetly takes pictures of fat people to make fun of when they&rsquo;re working out.</p> </blockquote><h2>So he immediately reported her to the gym owner. Without thinking I just went straight to the owners office (we know each other well) to show him. What this woman did is unforgivable, and makes her a terrible fit for a job as a personal trainer. Your job is to encourage and inspire, not shame and degrade. Plus, posting photos of someone without their consent with the aim of mocking them is straight-up bullying and not OK, regardless of your job.</p><div className="ad-splitter"></div><p>But BBG&#39;s girlfriend apparently disagrees.</p><h2>His GF thinks that because the woman is a single mom and needs the job, he was wrong to get her fired.</h2><blockquote> <p>When I told my GF she said I&rsquo;d let my anger get the best of me because now her kids will suffer if she can&rsquo;t find another good job.
