Woman asks if she's wrong to get co-workers fired for ranking female employees by 'hotness.'

Sexism is a problem in many workplaces. But reporting it can be scary, especially because you never know what the consequences might be.

A woman shared a story on Reddit about reporting her co-workers to HR for ranking the female employees in her department by order of "hotness." Soon after reporting them, they got fired, and now she's questioning if she did the right thing.

She says she went out for drinks with about 20 of her co-workers after work, when she overheard a male co-worker mention her name to two other male co-workers. So against her better judgment, she started eavesdropping.

A bunch of people from my department at work went for drinks on Friday after work. Everyone was having a good time and there were about 20 of us there (from about 30 people in our department). I go to the bathroom, and as I am about to exit the hall to the bathroom I hear my co-worker say my name from around the corner of the wall. Perhaps I shouldn't have eavesdropped, but curiosity/suspicion got the best of me and I did.

The convo she overheard was between the three guys making a "hot list" in which they ranked every woman in their department from first to last. She says it left her feeling "upset and disturbed," so the next day she told HR. All three men were promptly fired.

All three men were fired first thing this morning, and now I feel terrible.
