Breaking up is hard to do— but it is even harder when your relationship's demise is broadcast all over Twitter.
All the drama started when Twitter user @nohidea_ tweeted this, uh, "pearl of wisdom."
People were quick to point out that for most people, $3,000-$4,000 would not be enough to live off of when you factor in rent, food, and health insurance (not to mention gas, loans, bills...the list goes on). But his mentions went from a dumpster fire to a full-on hellscape when his girlfriend, Twitter user @youknowlimbo, called him out for not paying rent:
BAM. Yeah, guess it is easy to live off a few thousand bucks when you don't have a major expense like rent to worry about.
After that bombshell, @nohidea_ was on full damage-control mode:
But @youknowlimbo was not going to let him off the hook that easily.
Now, this would probably have been a great time for the two to put down their phones, sit down together, and hash this out face-to-face...after all, they do live together.
But instead, they fought it out online for all of Twitter dot com to see.
At this point, @nohidea_ tries to prove that he pays rent by tweeting out a receipt for $500. Only one problem...
Now more and more people started asking why the couple couldn't just talk it out. Well, @youknowlimbo had a reason for that as well:
In the end, the two decided to breakup. @nohidea_ announced their split on, you guessed it, Twitter.
BUT @youknowlimbo WAS NOT QUITE DONE WITH HIM YET:
The most ironic part of this entire ordeal? @nohidea_ revealed that he is a former financial advisor turned musician.
Okay, lesson learned: NEVER fall in love. Just kidding. Just fall in love with a person who pays their damn share of the rent.
