As the saying goes, red flags exist for a reason. And that reason is not: something to ignore as you blindly hurtle past them, hoping they'll go away. The real reason red flags exist is to warn us to get out of a relationship early on to avoid danger ahead. And ignoring them often comes with a price. This is a lesson I learned the hard way in my 20s... and also in the 1st half of my 30s. Oops! And I'm not the only one.
