'Harry Potter' super-dork proposed with a ring box appropriate for his chosen one.

Reddit user derrickjameswalker—call him Derrick—and his boyfriend really, really like Harry Potter, almost as much as they like each other, so a proposal at Universal Studio's Wizarding World was the perfect fit for the couple. The men were there with Derrick's sister and mother, in matching t-shirts because, again, these people really like Harry Potter.

"On a scale of 1 to 10," the shirts read, "how obsessed am I with Harry Potter?" The correct answer is "9 3/4." Get it? (Platform nine and three-quarters.)

After posing in front of Hogwarts (not the real one because that's in Scotland, duh) with his family, Derrick took a separate picture with his boyfriend.

Then he got down on one knee and told his boyfriend he's a wizard proposed.

The proposal was straight-up magical (and dorky) because LOOK AT THAT RING BOX.

The ring is nice, too, but THE RING BOX.

Yeah, it's a replica of Harry's first snitch, after Dumbledore enchanted it and engraved it with the words "I open at the close." Only in this case, the ring inside doesn't bring back the dead and the snitch opened at the beginning, because the couple is beginning a new journey together.

It's sweeter than treacle tart.

In answer to the eager masses, derrickjameswalker revealed that he found the design on movie prop site RPF and used 3D printer Shapeways to have the brass ring box printed.

That means that you can also have this ring box, in real life or simply on a Pinterest board.
