When Canadian couple Louise Veronneau and Dominic Husson decided to get married after dating for three years, they didn't rent some dumb hotel ballroom and fill it with rented cats like a normal cat wedding (That's a thing right? A normal cat wedding?). Instead, they took the savvy, frugal route and got married at the Cat House on the Kings cat shelter in California, which is home to some 1,100 felines.

The couple kept the event simple, having the shelter's owner, Lynea Lattanzio, serve as officiant, and several cats as the witnesses. They also asked their friends and relatives to donate to the shelter in lieu of gifts. Obviously, Veronneau and Husson are big cat fans, and one look at the Cat House on the Kings Instagram feed makes it pretty clear why they'd choose to have their ceremony there:
