Kudos to anyone among us brave enough to date. Obviously the potential rewards make the risks worthwhile, but that doesn't mean it's not a terrifying process. Especially with a new person. Of course, especially for women, we have to be concerned for our safety. But there's another fear that people experience on and prior to dates, regardless of gender: and that's fear of shame. There are just so many infinite ways for a date to end in embarrassment or shame for one or both parties involved.
Someone asked Reddit: "What's the most embarrassing date you've been on?"
1.) From RosiePugmire:
It was one of those setups where my mom and his mom were friends and they were like, "our two nerdy, intensely introverted loner kids should date!" Unfortunately that was the literal entirety of what we had in common, so.
Bonus detail: we went to a theater that was showing "The Big Sleep." He fell asleep.
