"Karen" is a colloquial term used to describe a specific kind of person, usually Caucasian and female (but not always), who wants to speak to the manager. NOW. It's not really about the name, since there are plenty of really nice, liberal women named Karen out there who tip their servers and treat others with respect and kindness. #NotAllKarens
But entitled white people who place extreme demands on customer service people do exist in the wild. Just ask anyone who's related to or married to one.
Turns out, managers and customer service people aren't the only ones suffering under the wrath of "Karens."
