If you are in Fort Meyers on October 10th between 8pm and 10pm, there's a wedding at Bell Tower Shops and you're invited. Yes, YOU. And you, and you, and whoever! Who cares, it's a wedding! That seems to be the spirit of the event being planned by love birds Paul Johnson and Shelly Osterhout. At this point, the inclusive couple is anticipating around 1,600 guests and has glow sticks for everybody.
Even before "wedding crashers" became the theme of their nuptials, the two had considered hosting at their home, but were worried about parking. They thought of Bell Towers Shops and decided, yeah, let's get married at a store and EXPAND. Of course, this seems like an expensive disaster, but Paul happens to be a Sheriff Deputy so maybe he'll get let off with a warning when the bouquet toss turns into a riot. The couple met online, so that may be why they're inviting the Internet:
The pair said they were hooked by each other's pictures.
"His picture had a white glow around him," Osterhout said.
"For me, it was when I looked at the picture, it was like she was looking right at me, not through me. 'Here I am.'" Johnson said.
Wow, we just realized chemistry is now about being attracted to someone's selfie.
There is one piece of bad news for you potential guests who are already getting your tuxes out: it's a cash bar.
