I'll bet she was in the middle of a game of 'Drop 7.'

The worst part of this story about Ella Birchenough—the 16-year-old British girl who got herself stuck in a storm drain while trying to retrieve her dropped iPhone—isn't that she had to deal with the personal disappointment of having done two really dumb things in quick succession. And it isn't that her mom freaked out, overreacted and called the Kent fire department to come and pull her out, when one pull probably would have sufficed. It's not that the city's emergency service tweeted pictures of her predicament to its 26,500 followers and opened her up to international ridicule. It's not even that, when they finally got her out, she was covered in all kinds of gross muck.
