Police apprehend the joker. (via)
If you were grading April Fool's Day jokes on a scale of one to ten, with ten being #Bholing and a one being a punch to the balls, the gag that Angela Timmons pulled today would be disqualified for being not so much a joke and more of a potentially deadly situation involving students. That's because Timmons, who works at Virginia College, thought today would be the perfect day to text her daughter to say shots had been fired at the school. Get it? Neither did the police after Timmons' daughter called 911 when she couldn't get a response from her mother.
More than a dozen police officers were sent to the school and suspected they were being punk'd when they couldn't find evidence of a shooting. Timmons later admitted to the prank and was arrested and charged with falsely reporting a school shooting.
Hopefully, next year she'll stick to lighter pranks, like giving hot gum to her probation officer.
