By now you've probably heard about Heartbleed, the internet security megaflaw that's got everyone's panties in a bunch, but chances are, unless you're a code jockey or a Johnny Depp computer-man, you're not totally clear why it is you maybe need to change all your passwords all of a sudden.

As it turns out, the explanation is shockingly simple.  An engineer friend at CalTech passed on this wonderful analogy, which puts the whole technical mishmash into terms even a luddite like me can understand.
