As long as we're both stuck up here, explain to me why they call you New York's "Finest."

Hey small-town America, your claim on adorable little homespun stories about bumbling civil servants just got a big fat challenge from The Big Apple.

According to the Post, yesterday the very brave but not very nimble Officer Dane Natto responded to a call about a stray cat stuck in a tree in Queens. Natto climbed up after it, but found the cat was not about to let himself break tradition by letting anyone but a firefighter pull him down. The cat fled further into the tree as Natto pressed on, until the officer had to yell down at his laughing partner that he couldn't find a way back down.
