Wedding season is upon us again! For all the open bars, pretty dresses, fun parties, dancing and celebrations of love that weddings bring us, there's also a lot of drama. The wonderful world of weddings happens to include a pretty hard set of rules, and there is a surprising amount of people who can't manage to follow them.
There are of course the usual complaints such as if a plus one isn't included in your invitation, that doesn't mean you get to write one in. If you force a plus one, you're essentially inviting a stranger to someone else's wedding and forcing them to pay for this stranger's food and drinks for a whole evening. It's rude, don't do it. If a wedding says "no kids" and you still call to ask if you can bring your screaming newborn? You're rude. If the invitation says formal attire and you think it would be fun to wear jeans? You're rude.
