Americans have unfortunately earned themselves an often embarrassing reputation in other countries for being loud in public spaces, disrespectful of other cultures and languages while traveling, and behind as a society as far as work-life balance, health benefits and childcare are concerned.

While there are countless things America could improve on as a country, there are some non-Americans who can occasionally find a few things to appreciate about life in the United States. Whether it's the food with massive portions, landscapes, diverse climate, nightlife, movies or cities--there's more to America than house parties with red cups, hot dogs, baseball and guns.

Tourists traveling to America from other countries often notice that many Americans are more outgoing and extroverted than people back home as it's not uncommon to strike up a lengthy, insightful conversation with a complete stranger at a bar or store. And of course, nothing beats New York pizza. So, when a Reddit user asked, "Non-Americans, what is something about America you admire?" people were ready to share the things America might actually be doing right.
