Lashing out in passive-aggressive ways is generally not the healthiest way to communicate. Sitting someone down and having a straightforward conversation is a fairer approach, and is more likely to result in mutual understanding over whatever conflict is broiling.
However, you don't have to be alive long to figure out that many of us don't like direct conflict, and we live in a culture that in many ways encourages passive aggression and ideals of "petty revenge" over actual conflict resolution.
That said, there are plenty of situations where passive aggression is not only ultimately harmless, but also hilarious. If you need a laugh, or some mildly toxic inspiration, look no further.
