Bizarre gigs, strange costumes, "crazy" bosses, outlandish customer demands--not every job is the traditional 9-5 office with HR setting. Shout out to the time I had to dress in a fountain drink costume and stand outside of "Quizno's" yelling "mmm toasty" at passer-bys. Curse you, the competing cell phone costume at the Verizon store next door.
Considering the gig economy and the job market available to millennials, bouncing between non-traditional sources of income can be a common practice. However, unless you're hurting yourself or others, all work is valid work and shaming someone for the way they pay their bills is never ok. That being said, there are a few dares we've all taken someone up for petty cash that we'd probably like to take back. I'm all set on chugging the blender full of condiments for three dollars and a glitter scrunchie at Michelle's birthday sleepover in 2006.
