Country clubs, which are notably exclusive and expensive, are often surrounded by sprawling golf courses where members can work on their game while sipping cocktails and gossiping about their off-shore banking accounts.
Of course, there is a big difference between athletes aiming to become professionals, couples going on dates at a local mini-golf course, and the CEO stereotype we see sprawled across movies. That said, employees at golf courses often encounter a mix of all of the above, with a heavier dose of the latter.
