It's nearly impossible to get all the way through a grocery store checkout line without seeing tabloid covers gasping about a female celebrity's cellulite, or speculating about her latest yo-yo diet.

The raging paparazzi obsession with famous women's bodies - whether covered in tunics or revealed in bikinis, is so disgusting and commonplace it's become almost innocuous. At this point, the sight of a tabloid cover inappropriately dissecting a woman's body has become white noise, not because it's okay, but because we build a depressing tolerance to nonsense in order to function.

However, when you flip the double standard and apply these headlines to men, it's quickly, glaringly clear just how far down the rabbithole the sexism of tabloids has traveled. Sometimes, a gender swap is just what's needed to shine a light on the pervasiveness of a double standard.

The Twitter account Daily Male is dedicated to skewering sexist body-shaming tabloids by genderswapping the headlines to target male celebrities.
