Move over Amy Cooper aka Central Park Karen, there's a new Karen in town.
A woman in Arizona has been nicknamed "Phoenix Karen" after a clip went viral showing her yelling at a Native American woman in a gas station, telling her to "go back to Mexico."
The incident started when Phoenix Karen stormed into a gas station and demanded that she be helped with her pump immediately. The situation got heated when the clerk instructed Phoenix Karen to wait until he was done helping the customer ahead of her: a young Native American woman.
This didn't go over well with Phoenix Karen, who attempted to cut the other woman in line, told her to go back to her country, and claimed she was the manager of the gas station.
In the clip the young woman quickly identifies herself as Native American and asks Phoenix Karen where her ancestors are from, pointing out the hypocrisy of a white person claiming ownership of America. This doesn't sink in, as Phoenix Karen doubles down on her demands that the woman "go back to Mexico."
