Weddings can unfortunately bring out the worst in people sometimes...

Even completely normal, compassionate people can turn into selfish, empathy-lacking, flower-obsessed detail demons when wedding plans come around. The "bridezilla," "groomzilla," and controlling mother-of-the-bride stories are often very true, and some couples assume that the phrase "this is your day" actually means: "for the whole time we're engaged, all of our friends and family must do absolutely everything we say because every day is our day."

It can really hurt when people you consider your close friends choose not to ask you to to be a member of their bridal party or groomsmen, but asking your wedding guests to pay for your wedding venue is a whole new kind of demanding behavior. So, when a woman consulted the moral compass of the internet, Reddit's "Am I the As*hole" about an awkward situation she found herself in with her friend who is about to get married, people were there for her.
