If you're feeling hopeless over the results of last night's election, here's a much-needed pep talk from America's kooky liberal grandpa, George Takei. The Star Trek star, who is gay and survived Japanese internment camps, took to Twitter this morning to remind America not to lose hope over the "unthinkable" results. Because this isn't the first time America has gone through the unthinkable, and he would know.

Takei, who warned America not to vote for Trump, urged those who voted against him to "not despair" and to "stand up defiantly to any dark or divisive acts." Here's his advice, in a very grandfatherly 7-point list:
