As President Obama prepares to leave office in the next couple weeks, questions are being raised as to what he might be planning to do once he no longer occupies the White House. There's no question our fearless leader/cool dad will have countless job offers, but Spotify is hoping he comes to work for them.
Last week, Obama joked with a former Swedish ambassador about his upcoming unemployment. "I'm waiting for my job at Spotify," he said, "cuz I know ya'll loved my playlist."
(What he's referring to is his sexy summer playlist, and yes, EVERYONE LOVED IT.)
Spotify took his joke to heart. The company's founder and CEO tweeted at President Obama on Monday, alerting him to a new job that had been posted on Spotify's career site: President of Playlists.
You can read the full job description on Spotify's website. I have to say, it seems like they tailored it specifically to President Obama. (One of the qualifications is "at least eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation.") Regular civilians need not apply.
I am still sad to see our ever-charming, ever-hilarious Commander in Chief leave office, but I guess if he's not busy running our country, I definitely want him making our playlists.
