Samantha Bee and her team at Full Frontal live-tweeted the gun control filibuster held by Senate Democrats. The filibuster, which ended early Thursday morning, was held so Democratic Senators could negotiate a plan to ban gun sales to suspected terrorists in the United States. As a refresher for those who aren't political nerds, a filibuster is a procedural maneuver in Congress that allows members to talk for hours in order to delay votes or obstruct progress.

This filibuster was lead by Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, and Bee live-tweeted the entire process. Here's her crew of "C-SPAN dorks" getting ready for the 15-hour marathon:

She kicked things off with some respect and love for the Senators leading the charge:

In true Bee fashion, she then had some fun at the expense of Republicans, including Ted Nugent:

After the filibuster passed the 10-hour mark, she offered words of encouragement, plus some food:

Bee then ended the live-tweet with two mic drops:

The filibuster appears to have been successful, though there's no official word on whether the Senators received their pizza.
